Guosheng Laser technical director Lu Wenhui and factory director He Yi accompanied the visit and gave explanations.

First, He Yi led teachers and students of Sanxian Middle School to visit Guosheng's plant and introduced it to the teachers and students. He introduced our high-speed laser cladding equipment to everyone: Laser cladding technology refers to the use of high-energy-density lasers. The beam irradiates the molten pool, causing its temperature to reach a supersaturated state, causing the elements in the molten pool to form dendrites or other amorphous substances, flow to the surface of the molten pool at extremely high speed, and clad on the surface of the workpiece to form a layer with a certain thickness new metal layers. Compared with traditional cladding welding and electroplating, laser cladding technology has many unique advantages.

At this time, what is being processed on the laser cladding equipment is the piston rod of the steel plant. He Yi explained in detail that laser cladding of the piston rod of the steel plant is to clad one or more layers of metal alloy materials on its surface. By laser cladding, an alloy coating with completely different composition and properties can be formed on the surface of the piston rod and the matrix. Since the molten layer of the matrix is extremely thin, it has minimal impact on the composition of the cladding layer. We can prepare surface coatings that are heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant, oxidation-resistant, fatigue-resistant or have optical, electrical, and magnetic properties according to specific needs. Thereby effectively improving the performance of the shaft surface. This operation has low heat input and small deformation. Laser cladding is rapidly heated and cooled, with little impact on the base material. The dilution rate is ≤ 5-8%, which solves the inevitable thermal deformation during thermal processing such as traditional electric welding and argon arc welding. , thermal fatigue damage and a series of technical problems.

Next, Tech Director Lu introduced the laser quenching equipment to everyone: As a new type of heat treatment technology, laser quenching technology has the characteristics of fast heating speed, fine structure, strong hardening ability, and no deformation. It has a wide range of technical applicability and is not limited by the difficulty of sensor manufacturing. Laser quenching is a clean, efficient and environment-friendly quenching process with fast cooling speed and does not require cooling media such as water or oil. The surface-hardened layer has fine structure, high hardness and good wear resistance, and can meet the requirements of surface-hardened products with shallow hardened layer depth (generally 0.3-2.0mm).

Finally, Director Lu led the teachers and students of Sanxian Middle School to visit the sample parts we processed, and explained one by one the workpieces processed by laser cladding, laser quenching, laser cleaning, laser welding, laser 3D printing and other equipment, and explained the differences in the workpieces processed by different equipment.

After decades of development, laser cladding technology has entered actual industrial applications from the laboratory, and has been widely used in metallurgical industry, coal industry, petrochemical industry, transportation, machinery manufacturing, mold industry, hardware tools and other industries.
